What decides whether a chain lasts

Two things, and neither is visible in a product photo. The first is the clasp, which is where almost every chain fails. It takes the strain every time the piece goes on and comes off, and a weak one lets go at some point when you are not looking at it.

The second is the plating. A thin plate over a cheap base metal looks identical to a good one on day one and starts going patchy within weeks, usually at the back of the neck where sweat sits. That is why a chain that costs very little almost always turns out to be a short term purchase, and why this category is empty rather than full of them.

How an accessory fits the rest of the range

Branding on the clothing is deliberately small and tonal, which leaves room for one piece of metal to do the work without the outfit becoming busy. A chain is the natural place for that, worn with a plain top or over the Vszn tracksuits.
